This lovely parish church in Wiltshire had previously had an over-sized altar which obscured the complex visual imagery of the reredos and felt somewhat out of place. Working closely with a small committee of the parish, we restored the altar to its original proportions, removed carpet that was obscuring highly decorated flooring and created a new bright frontal that successfully picks up the colours in the tiles and flooring whilst also referring to the repeating circular shapes.
The frontal is made from printed silks, taken from an original artwork. The key shapes are embellished with crystals. information on this work please email Sophie |
