Sophie Hacker graduated as a painter from the Slade School of Fine Art.  She later re-trained as a sculptor and continues her studio work in a wide range of materials including stained glass. Current projects include church re-ordering and designs for altars, frontals and furniture, in partnership with other practitioners. She teaches Fine Art to MA level, lectures regularly and runs creative workshops for a wide variety of groups and conferences.  She is Arts and Exhibitions Consultant to Winchester Cathedral and is a trustee of ACE (Art and Christian Enquiry).
