A wonderful project to create a new opening door and screen into the bell tower of a beautiful church in Dorset, very close to Chesil Beach. The village was celebrating its Millennium, when King Cnut granted its charter. Images of St Peter, casting his nets, and St Catherine, create a triumvirate with Cnut himself framed by tracery inspired by the east window, and the whole surmounted by the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove.
This image shows the 'before' - the existing stained pine door with glass section above. A pretty window in the bell tower can be seen from certain points in the nave. I incorporated elements of the stained glass into my design, particularly the snowdrops, leaves and eight pointed flower.
